Venue
The 28th Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships will be held at the National Indoor Arena (NIA), a state-of-the-art sports complex in downtown Birmingham owned by the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) that hosts a wide range of sporting events and musical concerts. In 2010 the NIA served as the venue of the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
The arena was opened in 1991 as the UK’s largest indoor arena at that time with a seating capacity of 12,700. During the Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, a total of 5,400 seats will be available. The competition area will be 50 meters long and 30 meters wide with training and warm-up areas also located within the NIA.
The training hall and warm-up areas, which will be separated from the competition area by a black curtain, will be equipped with 4 trampolines, 1 tumbling track and 1 double mini-trampoline each. FIG certified manufacturer Gymnova is the official supplier for this event.
